Welcome to Singles Bridge, now called Saturday Night Bridge. We are a non-profit duplicate bridge club sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) serving the greater Pittsburgh area. Club president is John Bernhard. It is a unique venue where bridge players of all levels and abilities congregate for fun, food, and duplicate bridge. It's a great way to spend time with friends, make new acquaintances, and network with other bridge players. Traditionally, Singles Bridge has had a dual meaning in that it has been a club for unmarried players and the members come without a partner. As of March, 2014, the club is open to all bridge players, single or married. Members can team up with a partner at the club site or come with a partner. The format has changed from an individual movement to the more common Mitchell and Howell movements. Our club motto is "The most fun you can have playing bridge."
We play on the third Saturday of every month in the North Hills (Franklin Park) at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills (UUCNH), 2359 W. Ingomar Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. It is convenient to I-279, I-79, McKnight Road, and Route 8. Carpool information and assistance are available through the club. For more information please contact John Bernhard at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-855-2168.
We begin at 5:30 PM with a social hour and light dinner. The club provides a theme entree each month. In the spirit of fellowship, many members bring culinary creations of their own to compliment the meal and share with everyone. Play starts at 6:30 PM.
Annual membership dues are $15, payable on the first game play. The entry fee for each session is $5 and that includes dinner. What a bargain!
